Elizabeth was feeling showy, so she dressed up a bitâpulling a purple Melanie Wiggle Dress from Glamour Bunny over her hourglass figure, black bra, black panties, and pantyhose, coming out looking like Jayne Mansfield at her most va-va-voom. She paired the look with a coral belt, wishing sheâd been able to pack more shoes or a purse to match and really outdo Anne. She settled for a choker. A simple look, but elegantly so.
She went to get the newspaper and found Shane and Grady outside, standing on one foot, Shane expounding as if training a championship boxer. âThis is great leg-training, Grad. Your legâs only used to taking half your weight, so you give it twice that, pretty soon youâve got one swole leg. Trust me, man, this is how Chris Hemsworth does it.â
âBoys,â Elizabeth said, waving to them.
They waved back. To Elizabethâs slight disappointment, neither of them fell over.
âCare to get some training in?â Shane asked her. âHardcore workout Iâm putting my baby bro through. Not everyone can keep up.â
âNah, I get my exercise from running away from my problems,â Elizabeth said, and brought the newspaper inside.
There was a hearty breakfast, with a selection of leftovers on the lunch menu. Elizabeth gave Limey his chew toy. He nearly snipped her fingers off. She thought she was getting through to him.
Patsy had found a Law & Order Christmas Special on the tube. Elizabeth couldnât say no to that. An hour later, the brothers came in, Shane thumping his way up the stairs to the second story while Grady beached himself on an easy chair and massaged a knee. Elizabeth checked the time and decided that âtrainingâ had pre-empted woodworking. She left McCoy wishing everyone a happy new yearâshe loved it when both the detectives and the attorneys shared the screenâand went downstairs, hoping to kill at least one book in private before the evening and Barryâs mandatory family fun.
âHey, guys, this is Anne Harlow, welcome back to my channel: Who What Wear. Today Iâm going to be reviewing the Tiger line of pressed powders by Sophie Takai. No spoilers, but I bought an extra case of this stuff for my little sisâs birthday, so after the review, Iâm going to bring her in for a second opinion, see how sheâs liking this gunk. I hope she liked it, because itâs crazy expensive, so if she didnât, Iâm gonna have to scrape it off her face and see if I can get a refund. Just sweep it back into the container.â
Elizabeth opened the door to the cellar, where Anne had set up some kind ofâ¦amateur porno set. There was a massive roll of green paper hung up on the wall behind her, a card table in front of her with a number of make-up products and props and sheaves of paper, and a camera facing her. And was that a boom mike set up over her head?
âWhat are you doing?â Elizabeth asked from the doorway.
Anne wore a shirt that read âlol
